On The State Level
Government's purpose has been subverted and the law turned into a system of plunder which picks winners and losers rather than providing equal treatment.
Missouri's economic opportunity and the People's liberty has been eroded by:
- Tax credits
- Tiffs
- Private use eminent domain
- State guaranteed monopolies through onerous and partisan licensing requirements
- Burdensome regulations
- Bureaucratic intrusion
Historians call these things "Mercantilism" (aka rent-seeking, crony capitalism, legal plunder, etc.). They destroy a society just as sure as socialism does. |
